        The eight values of free expression show the ideal model for truly "free" speech. Unfortunately, many people do not agree that speech should be entirely free. For instance,  Twitter permanently suspended the account of Donald Trump after his presidential term ended .  The value of participation in self-government has been violated here, as despite the controversies surrounding the former president he was still a candidate as well as public figure. His suspension made it a channel of information about his views and policies was lost. In the debate of what is and is not free speech, social media and the internet in general are a particular focal point due to these platforms being comprised almost entirely of speech. Another value of free expression that has lost meaning in the modern age is the value of protecting dissent.      The article about the Supreme Court from the History Channel was a good insight into the history of the supreme court. Some things I learned from this article about the supreme court that I did not know previously were that 115 judges have served over the entire course of the supreme court's existence, and that during the supreme court's first term they did not hear any cases. The most important take-away about the supreme court would be the main purpose of the supreme court, which is to decide whether or not laws or court cases violate constitutional rights. The most surprising thing I learned from the article was that the very first case heard by the supreme court was between a farmer and a family he owed a debt to.

  1. Local News (Fox8)  https://myfox8.com/     The local news is an extremely important type of information to know as what is going on in your community is the most likely to affect you directly. Local news stations offer a down-to-earth and relatable way to absorb information about what is happening in your area, as many newscasters for local stations also live in the area and have firsthand experience of what your community is like. I enjoy listening to the local news because I enjoy knowing about events happening in my community. 2. Fox News  https://www.foxnews.com/     Although known for being biased, Fox News is still an excellent source of information. This is especially true for the online articles, removed from the biases of segment hosts or the main anchors. I like Fox News as it has been my main source of information for years, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know about global events. 3. CNN  https://www.cnn.com/ ...
